Our Approach To Outpatient Treatment
The Summit Wellness Group’s outpatient programs are based on a highly individualized approach to treating addiction that is designed to meet the unique needs of each client – all while providing an incredible, one of a kind environment where clients feel safe, supported and loved throughout their recovery journeys.
Core Components of Our Outpatient Treatment Programming
One on One Therapy
Each client receives individual therapy with a licensed therapist on a weekly basis for one hour. Our counselors use a combination of therapeutic approaches including trauma-informed care, mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
While many treatment centers advertise holistic therapies, few deliver. All of our holistic modalities are offered on-site, at no additional cost to our clients. The Summit Wellness Group’s holistic offerings currently include:
- Guided Meditation
- Yoga Classes
- Therapeutic Massage
- Chiropractic Care
- Adventure Therapy
- Art Therapy
- Music Therapy
- Animal Therapy
We offer many different groups as part of our comprehensive curriculum. Our groups occur daily and are a primary focus of our program. We offer relapse prevention groups, early recovery skills, neurobiology education, co-dependency education, healthy living skills, co-occurring illnesses education, mindfulness and grief and loss groups. The level of care (PHP, IOP, OP) that the individual is attending will determine the amount of hours the client attends group per week.
Family Therapy / Family Night
Addiction is very much a family disease. In addition to focused individual family therapy, we host free bi-weekly family support groups for client’s loved ones to gain knowledge on the disease and build a strong community in the area.
Family night is a time for families and loved ones of individuals struggling with addiction to come together and learn more about what their loved one is going through and to build a support system within the community.
