The Summit Wellness Group Mental Health Program offers a Primary Mental Health Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), dedicated to providing clients with primary mental health diagnoses the support, care, and treatment they need to navigate their path to wellness. Job Description:
As a Primary Therapist at Summit Wellness Group, you will serve as a cornerstone of our clients’ therapeutic journey, offering expert clinical care and support. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, developing and implementing treatment plans that address individual needs and foster holistic recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients’ mental health needs, strengths, and areas for growth.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the treatment team.
- Provide individual and group therapy utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to client needs.
- Establish a therapeutic alliance with clients, fostering a safe and trusting environment for their recovery journey.
- Collaborate with family members and other caregivers as appropriate to enhance client support and engagement in treatment.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and ensure continuity of care.
- Document all clinical activities accurately and timely in the clients’ health records.
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
- Adhere to all legal, ethical, and professional standards in mental health care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure as a mental health professional or actively working towards licensing/certification to practice clinical discipline. (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or clinical psychologist).
- 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in providing mental health therapy, with specific experience in PHP and IOP settings preferred.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities relevant to primary mental health care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively engage clients in therapy.
- Commitment to a client-centered, trauma-informed approach to mental health care.
- Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
